Used this for ceiling decorations for my sister's wedding. It was great. We hung it with lights and it looked sooo professional. We were quoted at $500 for it to be professionally done and I figured I could do it myself which I did. Looked great and only cost the amount of the materials. Saved over $350!

I used the white Gossamer 60" wide for drapery swags for a high school prom. Swags were about 8' wide and dressed up boring patio posts. I also used it as a back drop behind the DJ stage. Simply cut the gossamer into 15' long lengths and stapled the panels to a 1" x 2" x 8' long wood strip (pleating along the top). This created a floor to ceiling sheered panel. Added some colored up lights for added drama in the evening.

I had hoped this would work to make swag on the ceiling for my wedding. I could use it but it's cloudy and even though it's easy to shape and mold it doesn't really drape elegantly and the cloudy nature to the fabric/whatever you call it doesn't really look lik fabric.

We wrapped the white around the lights on the ceiling to add a little elegance. Every dance the students want to do a full ceiling with crepe paper and there is not enough time during basketball season. The gossamer quickly filled in the space!

Gossamer cannot be washed. The material is similar to that of a fabric/dryer sheet and works great to create swags. Gossamer is very lightweight. If gossamer is hung then it will not wrinkle. We do not recommened ironing.Answered on 8/30/2011 by csr
