You need time to prepare each fundraising activity, so schedule the event as early as possible to give yourseld plenty of time for advertising and organizing.
-
Before any fundraising event begins, be sure to post flyers around school and hand them out to each student.
-
Make sure that parents are aware of the event. Send home flyers with students or send them in the mail.
-
Work hard at getting sponsors from the community. In exchange for their help in promoting your event, include their name and logos on new flyers.
-
Ask local establishments such as stores and restuarants if you can post flyers on their doors to advertise your event.
-
Contact local grocery stores to see if they are willing to print a small advertisement in their ad flyers or at their check-out lanes.
-
Use home sporting events to make announcements and pass out flyers at the gates.
-
Hold contests between students and award prizes to the one who sells the most tickets to the event.
-
Make sure the student body is kept up to date on the progress. Make a chart for the school lobby or make announcements regularly updating the students on how much money you have raised to date versus your goal.
